On-form Josh Windass inspired the blue side of the Steel City as his brilliant double ended Newcastle's FA Cup dream for another season.
The former Rangers man has emerged as a key star with Sheffield Wednesday and he etched his name in Hillsborough folklore with a famous brace to sink Eddie Howe's big spenders on home turf. Windass - starring in a more advanced role than the one he operated in Glasgow - was lively throughout before a 13-minute second half blitz had the Toon Army reeling.
Brazil superstar Bruno Guimares pulled one back but Wednesday stayed tough and secured a place in the next round of the FA Cup. Windass is up to 12 goals on the season with Wednesday in the mix for promotion to the English Championship. But they are certainly up for the Cup as they aim for more famous nights under the Hillsborough lights.
