Josh Warrington vs Kiko Martinez fight date, UK start time and undercard

Josh Warrington will get the chance to win back the IBF world featherweight title on Saturday night when he rematches Spanish veteran Kiko Martinez in Leeds.

The former world champion vacated his belt last year in an effort to earn bigger fights with fellow champions Gary Russell Jr and, at the time, Xu Can. But after he was defeated by Mauricio Lara in one of the most shocking upsets of the year, he ended up going down a different route, taking on the Mexican in a rematch last September.

But a strange series of events that saw newly-crowned champion Kid Galahad stopped by underdog Martinez for the IBF belt, and Warrington draw with Lara in their rematch due to a cut from a clash of heads saw plans once again changed. Now, the Leeds native is set to fight for the belt once again, in an exact rematch of their 2017 bout down to the venue.

Here's all you need to know about this weekend's fight...

What time will the fights start?

The main card of Warrington vs Martinez 2 will kick off at 7pm live from the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

The 'Before the Bell' pre-show will begin at 5.30pm, with the main card beginning an hour and a half later.

You can expect the main event ring walks to happen around 10pm, depending on how the undercard fights play out.

Quotes corner

Josh Warrington : "I've said it on social media, it's funny how this sport works. It's mindblowing at times, this is a massive opportunity for me. I lost it when I got chinned by Lara, I was on top of the world, looking at big fights, looking to takeover the world.

"I was desperate to fight one of the champions, then I slipped up, had the rematch and it's come around full circle. I didn't think I'd be fighting him again five years later for my belt, I never lost that belt in the ring. I'll be ready on March 26th."

Kiko Martinez :"I've come with the same mentality, to win and win quickly, to surprise the world again. I'm delighted to show that I can reign once again at this level. That's the way I need to go, to go out once again to beat him, I think I did last time and now I need to go and do it quickly."
