Josh Taylor has fired a warning shot to rival Jack Catterall ahead of their bout in Glasgow.
The Tartan Tornado gets set to defend his undisputed super-lightweight titles against the Englishman in front of what promises to be an explosive home crowd.
The bout has been long awaited for Catterall who now has the chance to cause an upset and seize all the titles.
He says he's going to "outbox" the Scotsman in his own back yard but a confident Taylor insists that won't be happening.
In a tense backstage exchange at 'The Gloves Are Off' filming, Taylor muttered: "If you are going to try and box, mate, it is going to be a very easy night."
Catterall quickly responded: "Yeah easy night? We will see."
Taylor approached Catterall before tapping him on the back and making the prediction. Catterall was set to fight Taylor last year on December 8 but the fight was pushed back with the champion suffering a knee injury during his preparations.
The Scotsman became the first British boxing star to become undisputed champion in the four-belt era with victory over Jose Ramirez last year, however this was made possible by Catterall agreeing to step-aside from his mandatory challenge to allow Taylor to unify the division with Ramirez.
With his wait now over as fight week approaches, Catterall has promised to outfight Taylor in Scotland to deliver a huge upset. "I'm going to outbox you and outfight you and I am going to win," Catterall said to Taylor during the exchange.
"He has put himself on a pedestal up there, I don't see how can you beat me.
"I believe I can match his nasty streak, but I don't have to because I can beat you by being me. I know I can outbox you definitely we will see, you are in for a long night.
"That's where his downfall is, he is too hot-headed, I feel better in myself, these last couple of years have been frustrating. But luckily I haven't got many miles on the clock and it's now time for me to kick on and fight the best boys in the division."
Taylor hit back at Catterall and is confident that if the fight becomes a slug-fest, his rival will be knocked out.
"But you are not going to beat me you won't get a chance," Taylor responded.
"You are going to be looking for that big left hand and then 'bang' you are going to walk into a big shot.
"I don't think you are going to outfight me and I know one hundred percent you can't outbox me. Anybody can say by 'being you' that they can beat me. If it comes to a boxing match it is a shut out for me.
"If you come and meet me in the middle of that ring you are going to sleep. That's what you think I am more controlled and more self-disciplined than you will ever know."
