Over a year on since being interviewed about Arsenal's transfer plans the board's attempt to regain trust with the fanbase after accepting an invitation to join the proposed European Super League, club director Josh Kroenke's message is starting to come to fruition.
Kroenke, son of Arsenal owner Stan, was interviewed last August as part of the Amazon Prime Video documentary 'All or Nothing' which offered a fly-on-the-wall perspective of the ongoings at the north London outfit during the 2021/22 season.
The club's supporters had protested against Stan Kroenke's decision to accept an invitation to the proposed European Super League whilst the previous season had seen the Gunners finish eighth in the Premier League for the second consecutive season which saw them fail to qualify for Europe.

Speaking to Amazon Prime Video, Kroenke said: "My family really just took control of the club in 2018. There was always going to be a bit of a transition period where maybe you don't get everything correct the first time around. There will be bumps and you just have to be strong enough to withstand them.
"It [the protests] was a very tough period. We had upset a lot of people and it stinks. I understand that we have a long way to go to rebuild the trust with our fanbase but it's already started behind the scenes.
"The grand plan should be becoming more obvious after this transfer window. I think that you see us out there really looking for young talent that can grow with the group."
That summer saw the likes of Ben White, Martin Ødegaard and Aaron Ramsdale, amongst others, join the club with the Gunners narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification last season.
However, this season has seen the Gunners make an excellent start and, after Saturday's 3-1 north London derby victory against Tottenham, Arteta's side sit top of the Premier League after eight matches.
Further big spending took place this summer with Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira some of the high-profile transfers with the aforementioned duo and returning loanee William Saliba the only players who weren't at Arsenal last season to be in Saturday's starting XI.
This supports Kroenke's message regarding the ideology that the club want to purchase young talent and allow them to grow whilst at Arsenal, with the average age of Saturday's starting lineup being 24.27 years. Moreover, another three players who started were acquisitions during the last summer transfer window.
Supporters have had to be patient, however, the message Kroenke sent over a year ago is now appearing to come into fruition with Arsenal looking like a genuine force to be reckoned with.
