Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton marry in private ceremony after 10 year romance

Hollywood heartthrob Josh Hartnett and British actress Tamsin Egerton have finally tied the knot after a ten year romance.

The 43-year-old American star – whose film credits include iconic horror film The Faculty, gritty war drama Black Hawk Down, and crime drama The Black Dahlia – has been in a relationship with 33-year-old Tamsin since 2012.

The pair are proud parents to three children aged six, four and two – and now call themselves husband and wife after walking down the aisle in a low-key private ceremony.

And the pair have proved they are very good at keeping secrets as the details of the marriage have only just emerged – they said 'I do' last November.

The Sun on Sunday reports that the couple, who met on-set of the film Time Traveller, swapped vows on Guy Fawkes Day last year with a ceremony at The Old Marylebone Town Hall.

The event was reportedly a very exclusive affair as the ceremony was held in the Soho Room of the venue – which seats a maximum of 12 people.

A friend of the couple said: “They’re as loved up as ever and wanted to make it official in a low-key affair, with their close family and friends.”

Josh recently explained that he prioritises his personal life over the Hollywood spotlight (PA)

Tamsin – whose own film credits include Brit-flick St Trinian's, rom-com Chalet Girl and the drama Queen and Country – has previously discussed the prospect of swapping vows.

She said in the past: “It is going to happen, but we’re focusing on children at the moment. The kids are very young.

"It’s hard when Josh goes away to work. We miss him but we make it work.”

Josh has also opened up about his life with Tamsin and his joy over fatherhood – while the pair have been keeping full details of their children to themselves.

He told Mr Porter last year: “The thing I am most proud of is that I’m a father of three and I have a good relationship with my partner and a great family life.”

Describing what life was like for the five of them during lockdown, he added: “We’ve been trying to keep them occupied as best we can, but it’s a lot of work and it takes both of us all day and by the end of it all we want to do is reach for a bottle of wine and go to sleep.”

Josh also explained why he took a step back from the Hollywood spotlight to pursue life as a father and, now, husband.

He said: “I decided to have a life, to put that first. That was always my goal.

“I feel very strongly about friends I’ve known for a long time and my family. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t losing those relationships. Those people make me who I am. I put those concerns ahead of chasing a Hollywood dream.”
