Josh Ginnelly and Lawrence Shankland will be available to face Celtic in the Scottish Cup quarter-final on Saturday.
Robbie Neilson gave Hearts fans the good news after their 3-1 defeat at Parkhead on Scottish Premiership duty. Top scorer Shankland wasn't in the squad, with Neilson confirming before the game that he was out through injury. Ginnelly took up the mantle and headed Hearts in front before being forced ahead of half-time after Daizen Maeda equalised.
Kyogo and Sead Haksabanovic completed the runaround despite a spirited display from the Jambos. The pair will do battle again on Saturday for a place in the last four of the cup, and the hosts will have their preferred striking duo in the squad. "He'll be available," said Neilson of Ginnelly. "The only one is (Yutaro) Oda, who got a knock on the foot so he'll go for a scan. The rest of them will be available for the weekend." Asked if that included Shankland, Neilson said yes.
The Tynecastle boss was pleased with his his much changed team performed, but admitted they still have a ways to go before he's truly satisfied, which will only come form victories in Glasgow. He told BBC Scotland: "There are a lot of positives to take. For 80 minutes, I thought we were outstanding until we lost the third goal, which was disappointing. But I thought that came from fatigue rather than anything else.
"The players worked extremely hard, put Celtic under a massive amount of pressure and you could see the crowd starting to turn. That very rarely happens here. Usually they motor on and beat teams 5, 6, 7-0. I was really pleased with them but ultimately, we got beat. We want to come here and try and win. We've still got a long way to go.
"The game plan was to pass the ball and go through them and we did that as well. People come here and think the sole purpose is to try and stop them but I thought we took the game to them and passed the ball through theme extremely well.
"I've watched hundreds of games here over the years and I think we played some of the best football you'll see here as an opposition team. We popped it through them and caused problems, but at times it was that final moment wasn't quite there. Ultimately it came down to a bit of quality from them.
"We've got huge game on Saturday now at Tynecastle. It will be a full house for us, a different type of game because it's a different environment with a smaller pitch. Celtic made some changes and will bring some key players back in, as we will. It will be tough but we can take heart from today."
