Josh Giddey, other Thunder players visit Norman to watch OU’s game

In their second home game of the season, the Oklahoma Sooners were greeted by several Oklahoma City Thunder players who enjoyed a sporting event as a spectator instead of a participant.

Josh Giddey, Darius Bazley, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Aaron Wiggins watched OU’s dominating win against Kent State on the field Saturday night.

With NBA training camp kicking off later this month, it appears most — if not all — of the Thunder roster is back in Oklahoma City after their summer break.

With the college football season starting several weeks before training camp, it’s become a tradition to have Thunder players drive 30 minutes down the road and visit Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to catch a game.

Since being drafted by the Thunder over a year ago, Australian native Giddey continues to dive into Oklahoma’s culture by becoming a football fan and most recently showing horns down on his Instagram story — a universal sign that shows your support for the Sooners.

The Thunder quartet lucked out by showing up to Saturday’s game as a blowout win and the debut of new LED lights excited the home crowd throughout the entire cool night.
