Josh Brolin showcased his basketball skills in a promotional video released by Saturday Night Live ahead of his upcoming hosting gig on March 9. The Dune 2 star, who will be hosting SNL for the third time, engaged in a friendly basketball game with SNL featured players Molly Kearney and Devon Walker on the Studio 8H set.
In the promo, Brolin's competitive spirit quickly emerged as he dominated the court, drawing inspiration from basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and his Marvel villain character, Thanos. After defeating Kearney and Walker, Brolin celebrated by pouring a bottle of orange Gatorade over himself and exclaiming, 'Anything's possible,' in a playful manner.
Apologizing for his enthusiasm, Brolin expressed his excitement about being back on SNL after 12 years since his last hosting stint in 2012. The actor acknowledged the cast members' exhaustion from the impromptu game and reassured them that it would be a fun week ahead.
Josh Brolin's return to SNL coincides with the success of his latest film, Dune: Part Two, which opened to a strong box office performance, grossing $82.5 million in North America and $100 million internationally during its debut weekend. The film's global earnings totaled $182.5 million, exceeding expectations and solidifying Brolin's presence in the entertainment industry.
