Josh Allen had such high praise for Lamar Jackson in a classy postgame interview following the Bills’ playoff win

Sunday’s AFC divisional round matchup between the Bills and Ravens gave fans a meeting of two of the league’s best quarterbacks in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. It was must-see TV in every sense. And while the Ravens’ season did come to an end in brutal fashion, it was nothing but respect between the two quarterbacks.

Allen, who finished the game with a pair of rushing touchdowns, was among the first players to greet Jackson at midfield following the Bills’ 27-25 win. The two quarterbacks shared a hug, and Allen had words of encouragement for Jackson.

A few moments later, he was asked about that exchange in the postgame interview, and Allen continued with the classy message for Jackson.

He said:

“I’ve just got so much respect and love for him. The way he plays the game. He’s a true competitor. He’s a true football player. One of the greatest to ever step on the football field. So, nothing but love.”

Well said.

Allen and the Bills now move on to face the Chiefs in the AFC Championship on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. We’ll have to see if the Bills can finally overcome Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City.
