Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has started 104 consecutive games at quarterback. The Bills have already wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Will Allen suit up in Week 18 against the New England Patriots?
Josh Allen Will Start Vs. Patriots
#Bills HC Sean McDermott says they will play “some starters” against the #Patriots:
“You’ll see some starters out there playing and you’ll see some other players who we wanna take a good look at. So, it’ll be a blend of both… [Josh Allen] will be out there for a very very short… pic.twitter.com/ZmyKnaucRD

On Monday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott addressed the media about which players will suit up against the Patriots. With no playoff implications, the game’s result does not matter for the Bills. However, McDermott said that Allen will start the game to extend his consecutive starts streak to 105.
“One of the things that we know is very, very important to [Allen] is his consecutive starts streak, if you will, and it’s important to him for a great reason,” McDermott said. “He wants to be out there with his teammates, and so he will be out there for a very, very short-lived amount of time, and then he’ll be off rather quickly there.”
Allen has not missed a start since his rookie season. His 104 is the longest active streak among quarterbacks. Jared Goff is second among active quarterbacks with 51. Brett Favre holds the record for consecutive starts at 321 from 1992 to 2010, with 297 coming in the regular season.
Allen has been nothing short of excellent this year. Allen will be one of the MVP finalists and has a great chance of winning the award for the first time.
Allen has thrown for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions with a completion percentage of 63.6. The mobile quarterback has also rushed for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Bills are 12-3 and have clinched home field advantage through the Divisional Round.
The Bills’ opponent during Wild Card Weekend has yet to be determined.
The Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, and Cincinnati Bengals are fighting for the No. 7 seed.
The Broncos control their own destiny. If Denver beats the Chiefs, then the Broncos will play the Bills in the opening round. If the Broncos lose and the Dolphins beat the Jets, Miami secures the No. 7 seed.
If the Broncos and Dolphins lose, the Bengals advance if they beat the Steelers.
The Bills play the Patriots (3-13) on Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. ET.
