Josh Allen Calls Travis Kelce’s Backward Pass the ‘Ballsiest Play I’ve Ever Seen’

Despite defeating the Chiefs on the road in Week 14, Bills quarterback Josh Allen may need some extra time to come to grips with the unbelievable way his team nearly lost to their AFC rivals in crunch time.

The Bills’ narrow 20–17 win was nearly spoiled by Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s last-minute catch-and-lateral to receiver Kadarius Toney for what would’ve been a go-ahead touchdown on their last drive. Instead, the play was called back for offensive offsides on Toney, eventually leading to the game’s end three plays later.

When asked about the wacky sequence post-game, Allen, clearly still surprised by the controversial call, made sure to praise Kelce’s heads-up play in his own unique way.

“That’s the ballsiest play I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” Allen told NFL Network’s James Palmer. “That was unbelievable.”

On a night when Buffalo was in search of a much-needed victory, Allen & Co. managed to hang on and survive the back-and-forth affair, thanks in part to the Chiefs’ costly penalty,

However, Sunday’s much-debated ending figures to remain a lingering “What If?” for both teams, especially considering the headline-grabbing reactions from Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
