There is much excitement surrounding Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson and his prospects for Year 2 in the NFL.
One of the reasons Colts fans have a right to be excited about what Richardson can bring to the table during his second season is due to the uncanny arm strength he showed flashes of during his short rookie campaign.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen saw those flashes and gave Richardson some high praise during Super Bowl week when he was asked by Fox Sports 1 who has the best arm in the game.
“Do you know who has a sneaky big arm is Bake, Baker Mayfield. (Matthew) Stafford has a big arm, Bake’s (Baker Mayfield) has a big arm, I have a big arm, Pat’s (Patrick Mahomes) got a big arm. There’s a lot of talented guys in this league, I think Anthony Richardson might have the biggest one we’ll see.”

That’s some extremely high praise from one of the league’s best quarterbacks. Richardson was often compared to a similar mold of Allen when entering the league simply due to his dual-threat abilities as a passer and a runner.
After missing the majority of his rookie season due to a shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery the Colts need Richardson to stay healthy if they want a chance to compete for a playoff spot in 2024.
If he does stay healthy, that elite arm strength will be put on display each and every week while he continues to develop the deeper parts of his game.
