Paul Pogba has lifted the lid on the moment his relationship with Jose Mourinho began to fall apart at Manchester United.
The fallout from Pogba’s departure from Old Trafford this summer continues as the midfielder’s new Amazon documentary is released. ‘The Pogmentary’ gives a behind-the-scenes look at the 29-year-old’s life as he prepares for his exit on a free transfer this summer.
In one of the episodes, Pogba questions United's attempts to tie him down to a new deal, dismissing their improved offers - worth in excess of £290,000-a-week, as 'nothing'. The France international also states he aims to show United “made a mistake” by not getting him to extend his stay at the club.

Pogba’s fractured relationship with Mourinho during their time at Old Trafford is also touched upon. The pair infamously didn’t see eye to eye during the Portuguese’s final few months in charge at United, despite having shown positive signs earlier in his spell as the Reds won the League Cup and Europa League in 2017.
The breakdown of the relationship between the two is often cited as a major factor in Mourinho’s eventual dismissal from the club in December 2018. Speaking in his new documentary, Pogba reveals the moment which sparked the collapse of their working partnership.
“It started when I got injured,” Pogba said, understood to be referring to a thigh problem he sustained in September 2017 - 15 months before Mourinho's sacking. “I said I was going to Miami to do rehabilitation. A paparazzi took a photo of Zulay [his wife] and me.
“Jose sent the picture to Mino [Raiola]. I didn’t like that at all. He said he’s on holiday when we (the rest of United's players) are working like [EXPLETIVE]. I told Mourinho, 'are you serious? I’m injured. I train three times a day here. Who do you think I am?' It was new to me to have a issue with my coach.”
