Jose Cifuentes' transfer to Rangers looks set to go ahead after the Ecuadorian midfielder hinted he WILL be signing for Michael Beale's side.
The Los Angeles star looks set to be Beale's third signing as Gers manager after Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin in the January transfer window. Cifuentes has been heavily linked with a move to Govan in the summer and his agent was spotted at Ibrox on Saturday taking in the 3-0 win over Celtic. He was also given a tour of the Rangers Training Centre during his visit to Scotland over the weekend.
Excited Gers fans are have taken to social media and prematurely welcomed the World Cup star to Ibrox, however Cifuentes gave them a huge hint by liking many of their posts. Among several tweets congratulating him on his imminent move, he liked one captioned "like this tweet if you're signing for the biggest club in Glasgow" and another captioned "welcome to Rangers Jose" - a not so subtle hint that a move is on the brink.
Beale is looking to rebuild his squad as he attempts to close the gap between his side and Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership. The Gers gaffer revealed after the Scottish Cup semi-final loss to the Hoops that his squad would undergo a huge rebuild this summer.
A number of players are out of contract, including Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Ryan Jack, Scott Arfield and Steven Davies.
