Jorginho has thanked Thomas Tuchel for his time at Chelsea but refused to be drawn on conversations behind the scenes following the departure.
Tuchel was relieved from his role on Wednesday morning following the Blues' 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Tuesday. Graham Potter then took over from the German just over 24 hours later.
Jorginho admitted it was a shock to the Chelsea squad when they were informed of Tuchel's departure. The Italian also spoke about his gratitude towards Tuchel but did not comment on conversations the players had following the departure.

"A lot has happened, as everyone knows," the Chelsea midfielder told reporters on Tuesday afternoon. "We are adapting to the new coach. We are very excited to work with him and his staff.
"It has been a good first few days. Of course, we had a great time with Thomas and appreciate what he does for us, the fans and everyone."
He added: "It was a surprise for everyone. What has been said between the players will stay there, sorry."
Jorginho was also asked if the players were responsible for Tuchel losing his job, and he acknowledged that was the case. He also spoke about the challenge now facing the players with Potter in charge.
"Of course [the players are also responsible], we are a team," the Italy international added. "It is not one person responsible for what happened. We are the team as a group on the pitch, so of course, we are responsible for what happened.
"We tried to do what we could and where it could go better. Unfortunately, it wasn't working. The challenge now is to rebuild confidence."
