Jorginho makes Chelsea feelings clear with recent Arsenal Instagram post

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho may have angered Chelsea supporters with his recent Instagram activity.

The Italian international arrived at the Emirates Stadium during the January transfer window, signing from London rivals Chelsea for £12 million, joining on an initial 18-month contract to help provide first-choice holding Thomas Partey with some competition following Mohamed Elneny's long-term injury. Now, he has taken to social media to congratulate the Arsenal women's team for defeating the Blues 3-1 in Sunday's Conti Cup final.

Jorginho reposted a picture of the team with the trophy on Instagram, which was accompanied by a number of clapping emojis. If there was any doubt as to where the 31-year-old's loyalties lie, there won't be any more, with Blues supporters likely to be frustrated by the player's decision to rub in their defeat.

The former Napoli man has certainly settled into life in north London fairly quickly, delivering back-to-back excellent displays during last month's wins over Aston Villa and Leicester City whilst also already becoming friendly with his Arsenal teammates, namely Granit Xhaka.

When asked by beIN Sports about his previous classes with Xhaka, Jorginho said: “Yes, I’m happy. We had a few fights on the pitch before but outside of the pitch, he’s a really nice guy and we have good laughs now.

“Yes, outside of the pitch [Xhaka is different]. I asked him the other day where I could go for dinner around here and he booked me and didn't let me pay as well.

"I was like ‘Ok, thank you very much.’ [laughs]. So yes he’s a really, really nice guy and I’m glad I can see this other part of him.”
