Chelsea are in Premier League action today, as they face Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Blues go into the game on the back of their FIFA Club World Cup success, following a 2-1 victory against Palmeiras in extra time.
The club's latest trophy ensures that the west Londoners have won every possible honour under the stewardship of owner Roman Abramovich.
Whilst the likes of Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku were showered with immense praise for scoring two crucial goals, midfielder Jorginho has spoken about how he, Thiago Silva, Kenedy and of course manager Thomas Tuchel were instrumental to the outcome of the final.
"You can’t compare [the value of the Club World Cup in Europe] to the value the South American teams give it," Jorginho said to Ale Oliviera on YouTube (via Brazilian outlet Bola VIP ).
"It’s different. Me, Thiago Silva, Kenedy, and the coach – who had a notion of how it was – we were on top of the guys: We have to win, there’s no way we can lose, it’s very important.
"Then, the coach, before we travelled, showed us the Palmeiras bus leaving in the middle of that madness: ‘If you have no idea what awaits you in Abu Dhabi, this is it – for you to start to get an idea.
"He put the image of the bus, the masses.
“The coach said that we would find an unexpected environment in the stadium and that we had to prepare, that it wouldn’t be easy."
It's no surprise to see the role Silva played, but Chelsea fans wouldn't have expected to hear the positive impact Kenedy had in the dressing room, especially when considering that the Brazillian has only recently returned from Flamengo.
Chelsea will hope that their latest success in Abu Dhabi will give them a platform to finish the season strongly.
