Jorgie Porter shares heartbreaking moment she found out she'd miscarried quadruplets

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter said she had "no idea" she had miscarried her babies until she went for a routine scan.

The 33-year-old said her body was "still behaving as if it was pregnant", when she found out about the miscarriage at 14 weeks.

The actress lost her babies in August after conceiving quadruplets with her now fiancé Ollie Piotrowski.

Jorgie and Ollie appeared on Loose Women on Wednesday in the hopes of raising awareness of multiple pregnancy loss.

Doctors told her the odds of her pregnancy were one in 700,000.

Because her pregnancy was high risk, Jorgie was invited for regular scans at the hospital.

It was during the fifth or sixth of these that the couple found out she had had a missed miscarriage.

Jorgie explained she hadn't experienced any miscarriage symptoms.

She said she had already had her heart set on having these four children, even imagining a "girl gang".

Jorgie said doctors have been unable to explain why she lost her babies.

She said the trauma has brought she and Ollie - who became engaged in December - closer together.

Jorgie said: "The sadness opened us up, together, and we know we'll be with each other forever."

Viewers were clearly moved as Jorgie shared her experience.

Taking to Twitter, John Andrews said: "Sending my prayers and thoughts."

Zamora Mogg said: "Poor Jorgie, that is so sad."

Gertrudemo81 said: "So brave of Jorgie Porter to go on Loose Women and talk about her miscarriages. She's probably helped a lot of people today."

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
