Jorgie Porter says wedding planning is 'the worst' as she considers tying the knot abroad

Jorgie Porter, 34, has confessed wedding planning is “the worst” and she has got nothing planned so far, five months on from her surprise engagement.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the Pride of Manchester Awards on Tuesday night - walking her first red carpet alongside fiancé Ollie Piotrowski - the Hollyoaks actress admitted she’s contemplating tying the knot abroad to keep numbers low.

“It’s the worst ever,” Jorgie laughed when the Mirror asked the happy couple how wedding planning was going.

“I’m hoping it will just come to me - it will just come.”

The Theresa McQueen actress went on to admit that while she hadn’t picked her dress out yet, or set a date, she and Ollie have begun looking at potential venues for their special day.

“We’re thinking of maybe travelling abroad to see what options they are - it’s an excuse for a holiday isn’t it?” Jorgie joked, beaming alongside her husband-to-be.

The stunning actress also confessed she’s thinking of keeping the guest list for her special day limited to her “closest” friends and family, after her engagement party made her realise “you don’t get chance to speak to everyone” during the celebration.

Ollie’s festive proposal last year occurred just weeks after the Hollyoaks actress revealed she had sadly suffered a miscarriage with quadruplets during the summer of 2021.

Speaking shortly after her partner popped the question, Jorgie confessed she "never in her life" thought anyone would ask for her hand in marriage.

"I never in my life thought I'd ever be proposed to, so this is a surprise no matter what!" Jorgie exclaimed during an episode of her Loose Lips podcast in January this year.

“I think, I'm still me at the end of the day. I didn't think it would actually happen in real life, so all those thoughts probably have to be a bit downscaled but then again, the audience would expect it," she went on to add when discussing her previously elaborate wedding plans with her co-host.

"My guests, my friends, would expect, I think what they know me as, so I don't think it'll be too far from, you know."
