Jorge Masvidal has promised to make his former teammate Colby Covington pay for his words when the pair fight at UFC 272 on March 5.
Masvidal and Covington were once roommates who both trained at American Top Team in Florida, but relations turned sour between the pair in 2018.
Covington claimed 'Gamebred' was jealous of him after winning the interim welterweight title and receiving a phone call from President Donald Trump.
But Masvidal has given a different reason for their fall-out, explaining it stemmed from Covington not paying a mutual coach after his title win.
The 'BMF' champion has slammed Covington for trash-talking his teammate Dustin Poirier's wife and promised to "straighten him out".
"I'm going to f***ing break your face man. Everything that you said, we're gonna have to see what's up when we get in the cage, you know," he said on The MMA Hour about Covington.
"This is an individual that obviously, I don't think anybody likes him, anybody... Somebody's talking about ex-teammates' wives and stuff like for what? You're going to fight the dude or the chick?
"What is is it? You know you're confused about his life just as much as he is about his sexuality but you're just a confused dude and I'm gonna straighten you out."
'Chaos' has made his rivalry with Masvidal personal by accusing him of cheating on his wife, posting a picture with a woman he claimed to be Masvidal's former partner.
Masvidal enters his fight with Covington on the back of consecutive losses to welterweight champion and pound-for-pound No.1 Kamaru Usman.
'Gamebred' stepped up on less than a week's notice when he lost a decision to Usman in 2020 and was knocked out by the champion in their rematch last April.

Covington has also lost twice to Usman in his past three UFC appearances, picking up a lone stoppage win against Tyron Woodley in between the defeats.
Masvidal - who admitted this fight is more personal than his past contests - said he housed and fed Covington when he was a young amateur fighter coming through ranks.
"They're all business but if it was to be something personal, this is one of the more closer ones. That's because this individual lived on my couch for a year," he continued.
"While he had a broken hand, he was living off my couch, eating my meal prep. I was already sponsored whilst he was an amateur coming in the world.
"It just puts a lot of things into perspective, you come into this world alone you probably out alone as well. This guy's just a legit state."
