Hearts have completed the signing of midfielder Jorge Grant from Peterborough United as Robbie Neilson adds further depth to his Tynecastle ranks ahead of the new season.
The Jambos are set to juggle domestic and European matters this season with guaranteed group stage football heading to the capital club. The Gorgie outfit enter the Europa League play-off round with just 180 minutes standing between themselves and the tournament proper, but should they be eliminated they know they will be playing in the Europa Conference League.
Neilson has already been busy in the transfer market adding Kye Rowles, Lewis Neilson, Alan Forrest and Alex Cochrane so far with Grant now becoming his latest recruit. The 28-year-old has joined on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee from the English League One side. He becomes the fifth signing of the summer window and has immediately joined up with his new Hearts team-mates at the club’s pre-season training camp in Spain.

Speaking to the official Hearts website, Robbie said: “I’m really pleased to get Jorge in as we continue to build our squad for a historic season.
“He’s an experienced player who will bring dynamism and guile in the final third of the pitch and I’m really looking forward to working with him.
“The squad is starting to take shape but we’re not finished yet and I hope that in the weeks ahead we can continue to add quality to it.”
Sporting Director Joe Savage said: “We’re all delighted to be able to get Jorge over the line and have him join us out in Spain.
“He’s a really talented player and one we identified a while back as someone who could add value to the team, so to get him in a maroon shirt is great.
“Once again, our board of directors have backed us to get it right and I give them my thanks, as well as Jorge’s agent James, who has really played a massive part in helping to get this deal done.
