Jordanian officials expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the high-level meeting between President Donald Trump and King Abdullah II on Tuesday. The officials described the discussions as candid and emphasized that they had effectively communicated Jordan's position.
During the meeting, President Trump suggested that Jordan should consider taking in Palestinians from Gaza. In response, King Abdullah II highlighted an alternative plan being proposed by Egypt and other Arab countries. He also mentioned that discussions on this matter are in the pipeline with Saudi Arabia's crown prince.

King Abdullah II emphasized the importance of finding a solution that benefits all parties involved. He stressed the need to explore options that would be mutually beneficial.
However, the meeting took place against the backdrop of American aid to Jordan being withheld as part of the broader foreign aid freeze imposed by the Trump administration. Despite Jordan's significant role as a crucial military and intelligence partner for the United States, the administration has not yet granted a waiver that would allow the resumption of assistance to Jordan.
