Jordan Travis’ single emoji post after Alabama’s Rose Bowl loss summed up Florida State fans feelings

If you were a Florida State fan watching the Rose Bowl on Monday, you probably felt a lot of different feelings. Perhaps envious of Alabama and Michigan, playing for a berth in the national championship. And feelings of what-could-have-been, had FSU been granted a playoff spot by the committee. Speaking of that committee, there were probably feelings of anger too, right?

And especially when the game ended – with Alabama losing to Michigan in overtime – Florida State fans had to feel like their team would have and could have performed better against the Wolverines if it was at full strength (not the shell of the FSU team that took the field in the Orange Bowl).

Those range of emotions were summed up in a single-emoji tweet from injured FSU quarterback Jordan Travis as Alabama players sulked off the field after the loss and as Michigan players stuck roses between their teeth.

Better luck next year, FSU. Perhaps DJ Uiagalelei can help y’all earn a spot in the 12-team playoff.

He’s also already left the ACC once. Maybe he can help y’all there too.
