Jordan Pickford marries Megan Davison in stunning Maldives ceremony

Jordan Pickford has tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Megan Davison in the Maldives.

The England international and his long-time girlfriend said 'I do' in front of a small number of loved ones during the stunning beach ceremony on June 18. They have actually been married for over two years but the Covid-19 pandemic prevented the pair from celebrating their big day as they may have hoped.

Pickford and Davison had always planned to walk down the aisle in the Maldives but had to delay their dream wedding because of Covid. But now the pair have confirmed they finally celebrated in style, with Megan posting a number of stunning photos from their dream day on Instagram. Megan wrote: "Worth the wait for the most magical day with my soulmate. Introducing the Pickfords. 18.06.2022"

The post which attracted 44,509 likes, shows Megan wearing a white lace gown and Jordan in a sharp white suit, looking dapper. The glamorous snaps also show the pair celebrating on the beach with their son Arlo while a small number of loved ones look on from the white sand beach.

As part of the trip, the then-bride-to-be headed to Dubai with pals including Jack Grealish's girlfriend Sasha Attwood and Harry Maguire's new wife Fern. In one of the photos, Megan wore a white tulle tiered dress which she accessorised with a white hat that read "Mrs Pickford".

In another photo, the entire bridal party appeared to be wearing similar headgear as they headed to the pool to continue the celebrations where they wore matching white bikinis, shorts and blue linen shirts. By night, the party took in Dubai’s stunning sights as the sun set, with Megan posing in front of the city’s famous skyline alongside her famous pals as they prepared for their honeymoon in the Maldives.

Meanwhile, Jordan has come off the back of a hectic campaign with Everton as they managed to survive with a game to spare after their 3-2 win over Crystal Palace. The 28-year-old played a massive role in the run-in and made one of the saves of the season against Chelsea on May 1 - producing an excellent stop to deny Mason Mount.

He backed that up by putting in a sensational performance against Leicester City - with Pickford making a host of saves to ensure Everton came away with all three points. Although clean sheets were hard to come by for the Toffees all season, Pickford no doubt contributed to their eventual success along the way.
