The goalkeeper, who was called up for Gareth Southgate's latest England squad earlier in the day, misses out due to contracting Covid.
He drops out of the squad with Asmir Begovic replacing him in the starting line-up.
Elsewhere Michael Keane, Allan and Alex Iwobi all come in to face Eddie Howe's side with Dominic Calvert-Lewin taking up a place on the bench.

Donny van de Beek and Vitalii Mykolenko are the other players to drop out alongside Pickford with Jonjoe Kenny suspended after being sent off against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Lampard later clarified Van de Beek was left out due to illness.
Seamus Coleman, Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey all retain their places in defence with Abdoulaye Doucoure staying put in front of them.
At the top end of the pitch all of Richarlison, Anthony Gordon and Demarai Gray also keep their spots in the side.
