Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s status is still questionable for the game Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams, but a former Bengals backup quarterback thinks if Burrow’s backup Jake Browning has to take the reins as the starter, the team is going to be just fine.
According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, Jordan Palmer, the younger brother of former Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, and backup for Cincinnati from 2008-2009 said Browning is actually one of the better backup quarterbacks in the league today.

I was blown away when I saw how he moves and sees the field. He’s got a good touch on the back shoulder.”
Burrow, who has trained with Palmer often, suggested to Browning that he should visit Palmer, who has been helping quarterbacks out since he retired by watching film and breaking down their game. He helped Browning with his footwork, approach to the game, and more.
If Browning gets the call to start in Week 3, Palmer thinks the Bengals are still in good hands.
