A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy who was found dead in a Scottish woodland has been named.
Jordan Moore was tragically pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to a report of concern for a child at around 6:50pm on Sunday June 2.
Officers attended a wooded area near to Abbeygreen Road in Lesmahagow in Lanarkshire, where the child’s body was found.
Police said on Wednesday that, following a post mortem examination, there were “no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death”.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Jordan’s family released a short statement paying tribute to the young boy.
They said: “Our Jordan was the most loving, caring, happy, handsome wee boy.
“He’ll forever be in all our hearts.”
Detective Inspector Vicki Douglas said: “Our thoughts are with Jordan’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“His family are being supported by officers and have requested that their privacy is respected at this time.”
