Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was officially a limited participant in his first practice since injuring his knee in the season opener, and Matt LaFleur’s team listed 11 other players on the first injury report of Week 3.
LaFleur said there was some “wear and tear” for the Packers coming out of Sunday’s 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts at a hot and humid Lambeau Field. The Packers ran 70 plays on offense.
Overall, the Packers listed 12 players on the first injury report before playing the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Love, who missed last week’s win over the Colts, was one of eight limited players. LaFleur provided no other detail on Love’s return than his limited participation. Four other players didn’t participate during Wednesday’s non-padded practice.
The Packers listed four starters along the offensive line with new injuries, and first-round pick Jordan Morgan didn’t practice after injuring his shoulder against the Colts.
Receiver Jayden Reed, who was questionable to play but did suit up on Sunday, didn’t practice. His injury is now narrowly defined as a calf issue. Reed had a calf injury during training camp.
Cornerback Carrington Valentine also didn’t practice with a new ankle injury.
The Packers might still be recuperating from Sunday, but the names on the injury report — and Love’s potential return — should make for an interesting week on the injury front.
