Jordan Love agrees with Aaron Rodgers prediction for Green Bay Packers offense

Green Bay Packers new starting quarterback Jordan Love might have inadvertently put some pressure on himself heading into his first year as the main man.

After sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for three years, Love will now get his shot to start with the legendary quarterback being traded to the New York Jets. While Love and Rodgers had a good relationship, it would have been a move that Love will have been waiting for - having been drafted in the first round of the 2020 class.

But with Rodgers remaining an elite quarterback, the Packers stayed with him for three more years, before a disappointing season from the whole team lead to his exit, as well as a number of other key players leaving. That looks to have left the team in a tough position under a new quarterback with very little starting experience.

But Love does not see it that way, and has stated on record that he sees the offense as having all the capabilities to thrive this season - as they had previously under Rodgers.

Speaking to the Wisconsin State Journal, Love said: "I think we’ve got a great team. I think we have a good offense, a young offense. We have a lot of work to keep putting in, keep building together. And I think we have a really good defense.

"Once we get everybody back and healthy, we’ll be really good. I think we’ve got playmakers on offense. I think all the weapons we have at receiver, tight end and running back, we’ve got guys who can make plays.

"I think once everybody gets rolling, gets comfortable with the offense and being where they need to be every play, the sky's the limit."

The Packers receiving corps took a huge hit in 2022, after they traded away Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders, with Rodgers struggling with his rookie receivers - Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. However, Watson had a solid end to the season, finishing with nine touchdowns and 611 yards.

And Love's sentiments are something that Rodgers has agreed with, stating that he sees the Packers as having a good future under him at quarterback.

After being traded to the Jets, he said on Love taking over his spot as starting quarterback: "And that's awesome, and Jordan's going to be a great player.

"He's a f****** great kid, he had a really good year this year, he's getting better. He's got a bright future in front of him. They've got a bright young team."
