Jordan Love Admits Lions Are Team to Beat in NFC North After Packers’ Loss

The Lions took sole possession of the NFC North lead on Thursday after dominating against the Packers at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football.

It was a rough night for Green Bay, as Jordan Love and the offense were unable to get anything going in the first half before playing catchup in the second half.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Love admitted that Detroit is currently the top dog in the division.

“Yeah, for sure,” said Love, when asked if the Lions were the team to beat in the NFC North, via ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. “It was us and them heading into this game.”

Detroit’s defense made things difficult for the Packers all night long. Love had just 50 passing yards in the first half, though he ended the night with 246. He was sacked five times, including four in the first half, and threw two interceptions.

Matt LaFleur didn’t mince words after the game, saying Green Bay got its “a-- kicked” and declaring the team needed to do a better job of protecting Love.

Thursday marked the Lions’ fourth consecutive win against the Packers. With the Bears and Vikings off to disappointing 0–3 starts, Detroit (3–1) has seemingly cemented itself as the top team in the NFC North early on in the season.
