Jordan Henderson offers incredible Jude Bellingham verdict as Todd Boehly plans Chelsea transfer

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has joined fans, pundits and fellow teammates in praising midfield talent Jude Bellingham. The 19-year-old has been one of the standout performers for England at the World Cup and was influential once again in the 3-0 win against Senegal.

The Three Lions secured their place in the World Cup quarter-finals last night, setting up a huge clash against reigning world champions, France. Bellingham grabbed the assist for Henderson's opener before the Borussia Dortmund star played a key role in Harry Kane's goal on the stroke of half-time.

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka sealed the win with a third goal in the second half, allowing Gareth Southgate to hand a number of key players an early rest ahead of the quarter-finals on Saturday, December 10. Roy Keane and Gary Neville lauded Bellingham for his performance against Senegal, claiming he has the qualities and abilities of a 26-year-old world-class midfielder.

Speaking after the win against Senegal, Henderson had just one word to describe Bellingham as the Dortmund star's value continues to soar. The Liverpool captain said: "[He's] Incredible.

"I can’t keep saying nice things about him. We're talking about, for me, a one-off.

"He's only young. Only 19, we need to just let him play football."

Chelsea are said to be willing to match any rival bid that comes in for Bellingham as they look to revamp their midfield ahead of the 2023/24 season. The futures of both N'Golo Kante and Jorginho remain uncertain as they head into the final six months of their respective contracts at Stamford Bridge.

Bellingham is a world-class box-to-box midfielder and has the potential to be a leading midfielder for whichever club he moves to next over the course of the next decade. The 19-year-old is supposedly going to use a similar method to his former Dortmund teammate, Erling Haaland, to decide where he will move to next summer.

After the match against Senegal, Bellingham has some kind words for Henderson, claiming the Liverpool captain does not get the respect he deserves. The England talent said: "Brilliant performance today.

"I had seen some of the rubbish that was said about him [Henderson] playing and stuff like that, it's ridiculous. He's so underrated technically.

"He's delivered in a massive game once again with a goal. I think it's time he gets a bit of respect."

Bellingham clearly holds Henderson in high regard and is close with both him and Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, which has fuelled speculation amongst supporters that the duo are trying to convince the Dortmund midfielder to move to Anfield. Chelsea will need to ensure they finish in the Premier League top four if they are to stand a chance of signing Bellingham next summer.
