Jordan Banjo announces birth of baby boy and shares unique name ahead of I’m a Celeb appearance

Jordan Banjo and his wife, Naomi Courts, have announced the arrival of their third child - a baby boy. The couple made a joint post on Instagram this morning, revealing the child’s unique name.

Their little one was born on Thursday, April 20, weighing 8lb 8oz, with Jordan describing his children as ‘a gift he can never repay’.

The 30-year-old, best known for dancing with Diversity, shared a stunning black and white image of Naomi holding the newborn, with Jordan’s hand also visible in shot.

The couple already have two children, both with uncommon names - a son, Cassius Ashley, aged four, and daughter, Mayowa Angel, aged three, who is nicknamed Mimi.

Revealing the latest arrival’s equally unusual name, Jordan wrote: ”Atreus Funso Banjo 20.04.2023 8lb 8oz. I’m so proud of you @naomibanjo, my angel, my wife and the most incredible mum to our children, thank you for our 3 beautiful children, a gift I can never repay, I love you.”

His best friend and radio co-host Perry Kiely rushed to share love heart emojis on the post, alongside other Diversity team members Morgan Plom and Starr Keily, with former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore also expressing her congratulations in the comments.

The birth of Atreus comes just days ahead of Jordan appearing on the new series of I’m A Celebrity South Africa, which airs tomorrow. The new show, which was filmed last year, sees contestants from previous I’m a Celeb series compete to become the first ‘I’m a Celebrity Legend’.

The dancer featured on the 16th season of I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! back in 2016, and was the fourth contestant to leave the jungle.

Sharing the news with his 580,000 Instagram followers, he said: “I’m officially going back into the jungle… I’ll tell you this @imacelebrity South Africa was a different level to Australia…You can see it all end of April, wish me luck.”
