The last thing the Minnesota Vikings needed was another injury. Especially not at wide receiver, but that’s just what they got towards the end of the third quarter with an injury to Jordan Addison.
Addison took a big hit and was tended to on the field before gingerly leaving to the sidelines. Moments later he was seen leaving the field, presumably for more testing.
Addison, the promising rookie from USC, was having the best game of his young career prior to the injury. Addison has accounted for 110 yards and two touchdowns on the game, including coming down with a spectacular deep throw to end the first half.
The latest word is that Addison was taken back to the locker room and is being treated for cramps. The Vikings surely hope Addison will be able to return to the field soon, as he and Cousins have had quite the connection.
If the Vikings are going to finish their upset big, having a healthy Addison would be a big help to close this one out.
