ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reports that Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison has gone into the blue medical tent to be checked for an injury.
This adds injury to insult as Addison was injured fighting off Detroit Lions’ safety Kerby Joseph as he undercut an underthrown Nick Mullens pass that resulted in an interception. This was the second interception thrown by Mullens when targeting Addison.
Addison has been relatively healthy this season with his only injuries coming during his monster performance against the San Francisco 49ers earlier this season.
Addison has been one of the key contributors to the offense, especially with the prolonged absence of star wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Today, he has been relatively quiet pulling in only one of his three targets for two yards on a quick underneath route to set up a third-and-manageable.
Addison is questionable to return, as reported by the Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling. We will continue to monitor Addison’s progress and any future impact as the game goes along.
