Jonny Hayes hilarious Aberdeen revenge mission revealed as Matty Kennedy claims teammate stole his CAR

Aberdeen winger Matty Kennedy has revealed that teammate and fellow wide man Jonny Hayes once stole his CAR after the former Kilmarnock star 'stole his bath'.

Kennedy, who signed for the Dons in 2020 as they became his 11th club at the age of just 25, missed the majority of last season with a back injury - although he has started to come back into the fore this campaign with four starts from a possible seven in the Premiership campaign.

One of the few players to have stayed in the current Dons squad after a huge overhaul in the summer, the ex-Everton youngster is a key component of the new camaraderie that has seen the Granite City club tip their poor form last season on its head following a measly 10th-placed finish. And the 27-year-old has revealed one prank that kept team spirits high - stating that former Celtic winger Jonny Hayes once stole his car after a minor inconvenience to the Irishman's life.

"So first of all, I have absolutely no idea how you know that!" Kennedy admitted on Aberdeen's official Instagram story after a viewer asked about the story.

"Wee Jonny [Hayes] likes a bath every Friday, and he came in all prepared for his bath one Friday and I was in it. I stole his bath, which obviously he was fuming at. so he decided to jump in my car and take it out beside the training ground where they were trying to build the stadium, it was a bit of a swamp.

"My car was stuck there, I couldn't get it and had no idea how to - so I ended up getting the front desk to take me out in one of the wee minibuses, and I had to jump in to my car to try get it out. Of course, my car was filthy."

Elsewhere, the Northern Ireland international poked fun at club captain Anthony Stewart for his poor fashion sense, ripping into the captain for wearing brands that only Old Aged Pensioners would wear.

"Right this is an easy one," Kennedy said when asked who was the worst dressed at the club. "The captain of our football club wears...Superdry. Now that is not acceptable, and it is only acceptable if you are over the age of 60."
