Jonjoe Kenny has posted a heartfelt goodbye message to Everton fans after his free transfer to Hertha Berlin was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
Last week it was revealed that the right-back would be leaving the club despite being offered a new contract to stay, having come through the academy ranks at Finch Farm. Instead, the defender has opted for a switch back to Germany on a three-year deal, having spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan with Schalke.
He leaves the Blues having made 69 appearances in all competitions, bagging six assists in that spell, having made his Premier League debut against Norwich City in May 2016. His last game for the club came on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign, lining up out of position at left wing-back for the defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Kenny will be looking to recreate the form he showed when last playing in the Bundesliga with his new side, and he took to Instagram on Tuesday to say his goodbye to Everton. Along with a video showcasing some of his highlights, the defender also provided a heartfelt message to the fans he is leaving behind.
He wrote: "I’m leaving the city, but my heart is not leaving the club. Thank you for everything Everton!
"I had an amazing time with all my teammates, coaches, the whole staff and all employees. And of course with all you outstanding Toffees.
"You all made so many things possible for me and made me the man I am. Take care and all the best!"
