Running back Jonathan Taylor might not be an Indianapolis Colt for long if his agent is serious about Wednesday’s comments from team owner Jim Irsay.
After Irsay leaped into the conversation on running back compensation with controversial reasonings for why the pay scale shouldn’t increase, Taylor’s agent Malki Kawa was one of the voices who blasted Irsay for his divisive words.
Well, it doesn’t seem like things are any better on Thursday, as Kawa indicated in another tweet that it’s doubtful the relationship between Taylor and the Colts will improve anytime soon because of Irsay’s opinions.
We’re guessing a new contract will be what helps mend the bond here, which might not happen before the running back becomes a free agent in 2024.

Is it possible the Colts would trade Taylor if he decides to sit out the season based on Irsay’s comments and the unlikelihood of a new deal getting done? We’re not sure, but it doesn’t feel nearly as impossible as it did before this whole situation sparked up.
Taylor’s future is going to be a major storyline around Indianapolis for the weeks to come, and Taylor’s agent doesn’t make it seem like a resolution is in sight.
