Jonathan Allen on Russell Wilson to Commanders: ‘I hope so’

Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen asked fans on Twitter to “ask me anything” in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. For the most part, Allen provided detailed and insightful answers.

Of course, the headline will be the “Hitler” tweet, which Allen quickly apologized for. However, Allen answered a variety of questions, from his favorite pass-rush move to the former Washington player he’s gotten to know the best since entering the NFL in 2017.

The hump move is Allen’s favorite pass-rush move, and Lavar Arrington is the former Washington standout he’s gotten to know the best.

And yes, the subject of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson did come up — at least three times. If you were wondering why Allen has been linked to Wilson so much in the last week, the two players took a photo together at the Pro Bowl with their wives.

Allen explained the photo:

Another fan asked if Wilson was coming to Washington. Of course, Allen isn’t the general manager, and Wilson is under contract with the Seattle Seahawks, but the star defender still answered the question:

Allen would certainly welcome Wilson to the Commanders:

It doesn’t get any better than 1,000%.

Allen’s chat with fans was entertaining. He likes the new team name, and the black alternate jersey is his favorite.
