Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen has seen a lot in seven years in the NFL. Apparently, he’s seen enough.
After Washington’s 14-7 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday, Allen was in no mood to discuss the team’s latest failure with reporters.
“They whipped our a–, plain and simple,” Allen said when asked about an evaluation after another tough loss.
Allen, the Pro Bowler and team captain, was just getting started.
Allen was asked if anything surprised the Commanders early on, to which he replied no.
“No, I wouldn’t say so; I think it’s just a lack of focus on our part, a lack of attention to detail, not starting fast, and creating holes that are too big for us to overcome in the second half,” Allen said.
Next, JP Finlay of NBC 4 in Washington asked Allen if he was frustrated, and the captain cut him off with the following response.
“F–k, yes it does,” Allen said. “I’m f—–g tired of this s–t. F—–g tired of this b——t. It’s been seven f—–g years of the same s–t. Tired of this s–t.”
How do Allen and the Commanders respond next week against the Eagles?
“Get our minds right and get ready to play f—–g Philadelphia,” Allen said.

Allen’s thoughts are from someone who came to Washington having hardly ever lost in college. He’s been losing for seven years, played hard, and continued to improve despite the chaos around him.
The schedule doesn’t get any easier for Washington with a home game against Philadelphia next week, followed by back-to-back road games at New England and Seattle.
