Jonas vs Price LIVE! Boxing fight stream, result and reaction

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price LIVE!

The Royal Albert Hall is the venue tonight for a huge unification world title fight. The WBC, IBF and WBA welterweight world championships are all on the line in a huge all-British affair which headlines an all-women’s fight card in London. WBC and IBF champion Jonas puts her belts up for grabs against the unbeaten WBA champion Price.

Liverpudlian Jonas is a decade older than her Welsh opponent, who boasts an 8-0 record since turning professional after winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics four years ago. Rings walks are expected at around 10.30pm GMT after Caroline Dubois earned a tiring win over Bo Mi Re Shin in a WBC lightweight title fight.

Elsewhere on the card, Chloe Watson lost her European flyweight title to Jasmina Zapotoczna after an intense 10-round bout, after Francesca Hennessy had made easy work of Gemma Ruegg. Later on the card, Karriss Artingstall takes on Raven Chapman in a featherweight contest. Will Price continue her unbeaten record? Follow Jonas vs Price live below!

"It's been an honour sharing the ring, so thank you."

Lauren Price WINS!

23:16 , Alex Young

Lauren Price beats Natasha Jones via unanimous decision! Scorecards read: 98-93, 100-90, 98-92.

A dominating performance from first round to last. Stunning.

23:14 , Alex Young

Surely unanimous win for Price to unify all four belts. Scorecards coming up.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: final round

23:13 , Alex Young

The two hug before the final round begins, which is lovely to see. So much respect.

Price wants a knock down before the bell, she’s throwing hands left and right, it’s not the most accurate but plenty are connecting.

Jonas is gasping for air as the clock ticks down, Price looks like she’s warming up.

Jonas gets one last big night in, a left to the face, but that’ll do. Another hug at the bell.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: ninth round

23:09 , Alex Young

Jonas hits the deck but it’s more of a trip then a knock down. Still, Price knows the end is in sight and catches Jonas with a lovely right.

No response from Miss GB. One to go.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: eighth round

23:07 , Alex Young

Jonas just can’t make a way through. Price is boxing beautifully and is seeing out this fight with ease.

Two to go. Jonas needs a knock down.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: seventh round

23:04 , Alex Young

Jonas escapes one left hook but is hit with another shortly afterwards. Price looks like she could go for another seven rounds, while Jonas doesn't really have much of an answer, beyond the odd jab.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: sixth round

23:01 , Alex Young

Jonas is perhaps dictating the tempo, but Price is not bothered. She’s happy to take everything thrown at her and has an answer for it.

Price is so lively, and Jonas is running out of time to make an impact.

23:00 , Alex Young

Sky Sports have Price winning all five rounds so far.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: fifth round

22:58 , Alex Young

Halfway through and finally signs of life from Jonas, who hits a left hook and almost lands another.

It's Price on the back foot for once as Jonas gets her into the corner, albeit briefly... and then Price is soon back in the middle of the ring.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: fourth round

22:55 , Alex Young

Price has had a few opportunities to follow up a big hook with another but has decided against it. Is she reserving energy>?

Either way, it's working. She on top.

Every time Jonas does breach her defence, Price just comes back with more.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: third round

22:51 , Alex Young

Price swings a big left but Jonas is lucky she didn't connect properly with it. The Welsh fighter is on top in these early rounds, but Jonas is calmer, more patient and almost lands a big uppercut.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: second round

22:48 , Alex Young

Jonas goes straight to the middle of the ring and catches Price with a smart hook as Price looks to shepherd her into the ropes.

Price lands a big hit into the chest and then sends Jonas rocking with a right.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price: first round

22:46 , Alex Young

Price lands the first big hook of the fight, landing with his right to knock Jonas back a couple of steps.

Price is the quicker of the fighters in these early stages and lands a smart uppercut before the bell. Jonas doing the backtracking.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price

22:39 , Alex Young

Here we go.

22:39 , Alex Young

Price has given herself a few punches to the face to keep her energised after an extended Jonas ring walk.

22:37 , Alex Young

Natasha Jonas comes out to a huge roar.

22:34 , Alex Young

Some atmosphere inside the Hall.

22:33 , Alex Young

Lauren Price is first down the ramp and into the ring.

22:25 , Alex Young

Almost time for the big one.

Shane McGuigan speaks

22:22 , Alex Young

"I thought [Dubois] boxed brilliantly for eight rounds. In the last two rounds she got dragged in and lost her base a little bit.

"No excuses, but Caroline hasn't been feeling her best. She has been fighting a virus for the past 10 days. Maybe in those last four minutes that was telling."

22:18 , Alex Young

Just one fight to go, then.

Caroline Dubois beats Bo Mi Re Shin by majority decision

22:17 , Alex Young

Caroline Dubois beats Bo Mi Re Shin by a majority decision, with the scorecards reading 95-95, 98-93, 98-92.

That 95-95 prompted cries of confusion from the crowd. And me.

(Action Images via Reuters)

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: final round

22:12 , Alex Young

Shin is just throwing punches left and right, without really connecting. Dubois looks the more tiredof the pair as Shin tries to find a big uppercut time and again.

Shin is on top in the final seconds but it’s not going to be enough. What a finale!

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: ninth round

22:09 , Alex Young

Hold on, Shin lands a big ol’ right to Dubois’ face and her corner celebrate like they’ve won the fight.

Dubois looks a bit wobbly but soon regains her composure. One more to go and perhaps the warning she needs to see this out.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: eighth round

22:06 , Alex Young

I fully expected Dubois to have mopped up by now, but Shin is some battler and keeps making the former think about her defence rather than focus on a knockout blow.

Two to go.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: seventh round

22:03 , Alex Young

You have to give Shin credit, she’s not giving up and keeps on coming at Dubois.

It is at risk of being a bit of wasted round for Dubois, but soon hits a big left, follows it up with a couple more to the body and that’s seven rounds won on the trot.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: sixth round

22:01 , Alex Young

Again Dubois snaps Shin’s head back with a smart right, before ducking a counter and sending in a double jab to the body.

Shin is bleeding from the nose as the bell goes.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: fifth round

21:58 , Alex Young

Shin is working hard but Dubois isn’t telling anything through as we hit the halfway mark.

A counter to the body and then to the chin sends Shin back. Can’t see this going the distance.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: fourth round

21:55 , Alex Young

Dubois rocks Shin with a right but then has to duck an overhand right in return.

It’s getting a bit scrappy until Dubois sends her opponent staggering again just before the bell.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: third round

21:51 , Alex Young

This is looking very ominous. Dubois is poised to line up the finishing blow, but it’s not quite coming off at the moment.

Shin gets another jab away but Dubois comes back with another to the body. A right hook lands as the bell goes.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: second round

21:50 , Alex Young

A nice jab from Shin prompts a cheer from her corner but Dubois is going for the body time and again.

A triple combo rocks Shin and Dubois spots the opportunity, Shin looks to the referee who doesn’t respond and Dubois is able to land another.

One-way traffic.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin: first round

21:45 , Alex Young

Dubois looks in the zone, Shin doesn’t look at her during the touching of gloves.

Dubois is dominating the centre of the ring in the opening stages, and knocks Shin back with an early jab. A big left-hander is dodged by Shin.

The bell goes as Shin is caught slightly off balance with a left-hand jab.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin

21:40 , Alex Young

Right, almost time for the penaultimate fight of the night.

21:39 , Alex Young

Dubois comes out to ‘Another One Bites the Dust’, which is a little on the nose but fine.

21:38 , Alex Young

Here comes Dubois.

Caroline Dubois speaks

21:35 , Alex Young

"This is what we do. I'm here and ready. The talking's done. I'm ready. I'm going to be cool, clam and collected. I have nothing more to say than I'm ready to kick ass.

"We'll go out there, try our best and see what happens."

Caroline Dubois vsBo Mi Re Shin

21:30 , Alex Young

Caroline Dubois takes on Bo Mi Re Shin in a WBC lightweight title fight next.

Karriss Artingstall wins by unanimous decision

21:25 , Alex Young

Karriss Artingstall was a step above throughout and beats Raven Chapman by unanimous decision.

Scorecards read 97-92, 98-91, 96-93.

(Zac Goodwin/PA Wire)

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: final round

21:22 , Alex Young

Chapman has to go on the attack and lands a decent uppercut but leaves herself open to a left hook.

Artingstall then lands a near two-punch combo and that should be that.

Artingstall may not have won every round, but it won’t be too far off.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: ninth round

21:19 , Alex Young

Chapman, you feel, needs to win both of these final two rounds, and she's doing just that at the moment.

She connects with a nice left hook and then a right and misses a big uppercut which could have sent Artingstall to the mat.

Does Chapman need a knockdown? Probably.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: eight round

21:16 , Alex Young

Chapman looks the more tired but continues to throw more punches. Some great dodges sees Artingstall punch air once, twice and three times.

Two to go, all to play for.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: seventh round

21:14 , Alex Young

An overdue left from Chapman knocks Artingstall back, but this is turning into a tired and scrappy affair as both fighters battle for the middle of the ring.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: sixth round

21:11 , Alex Young

Artingstall lands a smart straight left hand on Chapman, followed by a right.

Chapman is not breaching her opponent’s defence enough. Artingstall then knocks back Chapman’s head with a jab before the bell.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: fifth round

21:08 , Alex Young

A tamer round, more cagey, as the fight reaches the halfway mark.

Chapman is needing all of her nouce to evade a lively Artingstall.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: fourth round

21:05

A huge right hand from Chapman connects with the face of Artingstall. Some fight, this.

Artingstall is suddenly on the back foot and then Chapman connects with a left.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: third round

21:04 , Alex Young

Artingstall looks like she wants this fight over sooner rather than later and connects with a fierce left, only for Chapman is hit back with two uppercuts.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: second round

21:03 , Alex Young

Artingstall drops Chapman with a left hand!

Chapman iis quickly back on her feet before the bell, but that’s a huge moment!

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman: first round

20:57 , Alex Young

Both fighters finding their range in this first round, scoping each other out. Chapman breaks the defensive line first, but otherwise not much doing.

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman

20:50 , Alex Young

Raven Chapman is first into the ring, and then Karriss Artingstall comes down to Ben E King’s ‘Stand By Me’.

Banger.

Jasmine Zapotoczna speaks

20:46 , Alex Young

"The main thing for me is to make my fights enjoyable to watch. To entertain people. That's what we've done tonight with Chloe."

(Zac Goodwin/PA Wire)
20:43 , Alex Young

Karriss Artingstall vs Raven Chapman is up next.

20:43 , Alex Young

What a moment.

Zapotoczna wins by split decision!

20:37

...and the NEW!

Zapotoczna beats Watson by split decision, with scores of 93-97, 96-95, 96-95 to become the new European flyweight champion!

Watson looks shocked and, understandably absolutely gutted.

20:35 , Alex Young

The judges are taking their time here. Three of them counting up their scorecards.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 10

20:33 , Alex Young

Two fighters feeling every second of this final round. Watson gets a talking too for pulling Zapotoczna down midway through the fight and, for my money, does finish the fight on stronger.

We had perhaps done enough but that was no easy task.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 9

20:30 , Alex Young

Better from Watson, who comes over the jab and lands an overhand right. That gives her a spring in her step, but again fails to capitalise with a quick follow-up.

Zapotoczna returns with another body shot and is told for more from her corner.

One to go.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 8

20:26 , Alex Young

“Three more rounds to go,” Hatton says, adding: “You won that round, but there might not be much in this.”

I like the honesty, and Watson needs a bit of a reality check as Zapotoczna is now on top. She connected with another fine counter overhand and then dodged a combo return.

This could really go either way.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 7

20:23 , Alex Young

Hatton tells Watson that she lost the sixth round and, again, I’m not one to argue.

She needs a second wind and Zapotoczna is building some momentum... but cannot find the same big blog she managed to land in the last round.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 6

20:21 , Alex Young

Not for the first time, Watson misses with a right and you start to wonder how her stamina will hold up. She is so busy.

Zapotoczna appears to hurt Watson with a smart jab to the body, and concentrates on that area for the rest of the round.

20:18 , Alex Young

Halfway through this fight. Tough one to call so far.

(Action Images via Reuters)

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 5

20:17 , Alex Young

Hatton tells Watson that “you’re winning, you’re winning”, and I’m not one to disagree with ‘The Hitman’.

Better from Watson, who steps into her opponent well with a decent flurry, but Zapotoczna is proving quite the tricky test, dodging a left and then landing a counter.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 4

20:15 , Alex Young

Zapotoczna is told to do more by her corner and promptly lands a right hand. But Watson knows her opponent is slowing and does well to finish the round on top.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 3

20:11 , Alex Young

Hatton tells Watson to get closer to her opponent during the break, and she takes on the advice and soon has Zapotoczna pinned in the corner.

Zapotoczna takes a right hand without being rocked and then hits back with two left hooks.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 2

20:09 , Alex Young

More of the same, with Watson on the front foot and soon connects with a nice double.

Zapotoczna is in no hurry to match her opponent’s intent, and is instead biding her time for the counter.

Watson edges it.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna: round 1

20:07 , Alex Young

A lively start from both, as they dance around the ring in a right first round. Watson connects with a right just before the bell.

20:04 , Alex Young

Ricky Hatton is in Watson’s corner, the boxing great being her trainer.

20:03 , Alex Young

Some venue, this.

(Zac Goodwin/PA Wire)

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna

20:01 , Alex Young

Y’know what, Chloe Watson’s choice of ‘Run This Town’ by Rihanna isn’t half bad either.

Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna

20:00 , Alex Young

Zapotoczna comes out to a bit of AC/DC, always a surefire way to get the crowd on side.

19:56 , Alex Young

Next up is Chloe Watson vs Jasmina Zapotoczna.

19:50 , Alex Young

That was a fine start to the evening.

(Action Images via Reuters)

Scorecard

19:49 , Alex Young

Fran Hennessy wins, taking the score card 80-72 to retain her WBA Intercontinental super-bantamweight title.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: final round

19:46 , Alex Young

Hennessy wants the stoppage, just skipping around the ring and waiting for the gap. Ruegg is trying to still take the fight to her opponent, but Hennessy looks like she has another eight rounds in her.

The bell goes and this one will go to the judges. Should be a formality.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: round 7

19:44 , Alex Young

Reugg is trying her best to pin down her opponent, but it’s like trying to catch a fly. The swatter comes down and gets nothing but air.

There is a stoppage in the offing for Hennessy, you’d imagine, but 40-year-old Reugg is made of stern stuff.

Final round coming up.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: round 6

19:40 , Alex Young

Hennessy lands the best punch of the fight, coming over Ruegg’s jab to give her opponent a real wobble.

Hennessy still looks full of energy, while Ruegg’s legs are starting to drag. The latter cannot deal with the former’s combos.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: round 5

19:37 , Alex Young

Ruegg is trying to close what will be a widening points gap, but Hennessy is just too quick for her, both on her feet and with her fists.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: round 4

19:35 , Alex Young

Two big hits from Hennessy, first a left hook to the side of Ruegg’s face, and then one to the body which rocks her oppponent.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: round 3

19:31 , Alex Young

Ruegg is protecting this lump on her forehand, her right hand barely moving from in front of that eye. Hennessy is producing some great combinations, and really drawing her opponent away from the centre of the ring.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: round 2

19:29 , Alex Young

Better from Ruegg, who catches Hennessey with a strong left without rocking her opponent. Hennessey is the far faster of the two fighters, which means Ruegg is controlling the centre of the ring.

A clash of heads sees a big ol’ lump form on the right-hand side of Ruegg’s forehand. A proper egg, you could say. She shook it off, though.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg: round 1

19:25 , Alex Young

A good start and end to the opening round for Hennessey, who looks confident and lively in the ring, hands down and in control.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg

19:23 , Alex Young

Francesca Hennessy hopes to claim the WBA Intercontinental super-bantamweight title against Gemma Ruegg, who is a late replacement for Carla Camila Campos Gonzales.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg

19:21 , Alex Young

Now it’s Francesca Hennessy turn, and she is far happier as she trots down to the ring to some Jackson 5.

Francesca Hennessy vs Gemma Ruegg

19:19 , Alex Young

Right, time for the first bout.

Gemma Ruegg makes her way to the ring, with a right scowl on her face, to ‘Jump Around’ and alongside a child dressed up as a leprechaun.

Natasha Jonas said

19:11 , Alex Young

"Lauren Price has a lot of hype around her but I believe this fight is going to be a step too far for her. I've been in big fights, I've fought world champions and Olympic medallists, but she's never faced anyone like me as a pro.

"She keeps on saying these things. But you're putting pressure on yourself to back it up."

19:00 , Alex Young

The stage is set.

(Zac Goodwin/PA Wire)

Jonas vs Price prediction

18:45 , Alex Young

This is a truly fascinating battle between two in-form superstars of British boxing who will be firmly targeting undisputed status this year. Neither are knockout artists, so a more tactical contest no doubt looms that may be difficult both to predict and score.

Jonas has so much experience but, turning 41 this year and a full 10 years older than her opponent, it seems fair to suggest that the age difference and extra energy reserves are likely to give the speedier Price the edge in a close battle that is likely to quickly to and fro in terms of momentum as the rounds tick on.

However, we expect Price to pull away in the second half of the bout to claim a career-best win and further cement her status as one of the best in the world.

Price to win on points.

(Action Images via Reuters)
18:31 , Alex Young

The first fight is expected at around 7pm GMT as Francesca Hennessy takes on Gemma Ruegg.

The main evening ring walks are scheduled for 10pm GMT.

Undercard

18:27 , Alex Young

Elsewhere on a bumper all-women’s Boxxer fight card, Caroline Dubois defends her WBC lightweight world title for the second time in the main support act of the night, taking on South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin as she looks to bounce back from a frustrating technical draw with Jessica Camara and tee up a bout with Terri Harper next.

Karriss Artingstall and Raven Chapman compete for the vacant British featherweight title, while Chloe Watson defends her European flyweight belt against Jasmina Zapotoczna and Francesca Hennessy hopes to claim the WBA Intercontinental super-bantamweight title against Gemma Ruegg, who is a late replacement for Carla Camila Campos Gonzales.

Lauren Price's journey to tonight

18:10 , Alex Young

Lauren Price is a former Cardiff and Wales footballer who won Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth gold as an amateur and has now produced eight successive victories as a professional.

She became the first-ever Welsh female world champion in only her sixth fight as she picked up the WBA, IBO and Ring Magazine titles by unanimous technical decision against Jessica McCaskill, whose eye injury caused the fight to be stopped in round nine.

She defended those belts emphatically for the first time on the undercard of Jonas-Habazin before Christmas, stopping Bexcy Mateus in three rounds.

(Yui Mok/PA Wire)

Natasha Jones' journey to tonight

17:59 , Alex Young

This is Natasha Jonas’ first fight since she became unified welterweight champion and added the WBC title with a dominant points win over Croatia’s Ivana Habazin in Liverpool in December, having previously won the vacant IBF belt with a late stoppage of Kandi Wyatt in summer 2023 and then successfully defended it with a controversial split-decision win over Mikaela Mayer.

Jonas was already the unified light-middleweight world champion, holding the IBF, WBC and WBO belts and now having rattled off seven successive wins since her draw with Terri Harper and defeat by Katie Taylor in 2021.

Jonas will turn 41 in June and has been beaten by only Taylor in a 19-fight professional career, but goes into this fight as the underdog.
