A famous trio of lifelong Yankees fans got to live out a lifelong dream on Tuesday night.
In the bottom half of the third inning of New York’s game against Philadelphia, the Jonas brothers joined Michael Kay in the booth during the telecast. With the Yankees trailing 2–0, rookie shortstop Anthony Volpe stepped to the plate and laced a fastball just beyond diving Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott.
The brothers, who combined on the call, had both baseball and music fans buzzing.
“Here it comes, he’s swinging….there it is…down the middle, base hit. Well done. The crowd goes wild,” as both Nick and Kevin Jonas combined on the call.

The Jonas Brothers, who were in attendance to promote a summer Aug. 12 concert at Yankees Stadium, chatted with several players prior to the game.
“We are lifetime Yankees fans, growing up in Jersey,” said Nick. “They were always our team. It's going to be pretty special to be able to perform here (in August).”
It should come as no surprise as to who the brothers rank as their favorite player— growing up with the Yankee teams of the 90’s. Despite meeting current stars, Derek Jeter was named by Nick as his favorite all-time player.
They also named Jorge Posada, Hideki Matsui and Bernie Williams as some of their other favorite players. Among the current New York talent, Nick was quick to point out the size and talents of Aaron Judge, who they met on the field during batting practice.
“He seems like a great guy,” Nick said. “He’s enormous and he is doing great.”
