Jonah Jackson is going to be a valuable member of the Los Angeles Rams offensive line after signing a three-year deal in free agency, but the team needs him to be available throughout the season. Unfortunately, he was unable to finish practice on Tuesday after suffering an apparent injury.
According to one fan who was in attendance, Jackson left the field with the training staff while holding his arm, which isn’t a good sign. After practice, McVay was asked about Jackson’s status, but he just replied by saying, “I’m not sure.”
Typically, McVay has a much better idea than that of a player’s injury but there’s seemingly still some uncertainty with the Rams’ new left guard.
The Rams signed Jackson in free agency, which then led to Steve Avila moving to center. If Jackson is out for any period of time, the team will keep Avila at center and likely replace Jackson with either Joe Noteboom or Zach Thomas; both players have gotten reps at guard this summer.
