Jonah Ayunga will join St Mirren this summer from Morecambe.
Buddies boss Stephen Robinson has landed the Kenyan international from his former club.
And 24-year-old will move to Paisley on a two-year deal, becoming Robinson’s fourth signing of the summer.
The manager signed Ayunga from Bristol Rovers last year and he netted six goals in League One, despite often playing out wide and missing months of the season through injury.
Robinson made his move after Morecambe boss Derek Adams decided to put Ayunga on the transfer list.
He came through at Dorchester City before he was snapped up by Brighton.
Ayunga had several loan spells and then moved to Bristol Rovers in 2020 via Sutton United and Havant and Waterlooville.
Robinson, speaking to Renfrewshire Sport, said: “We’ve got four players signed which we’ll announce over the coming weeks.
“All four will strengthen the squad and enhance what we’ve already got.
“I believe we need a couple more, maybe three, so there’s still more business to be done.
“Especially when the market opens up in England.”
The St Mirren boss, who has overseen back-to-back victories, has already signed midfielder Keanu Baccus from Western Sydney Wanderers and Mark O’Hara from Motherwell.
A deal has also been agreed to sign Northern Irish keeper Trevor Carson from Dundee United.
Carson was a teammate of Ayunga when he was on-loan at Morecambe earlier this season.
Morecambe had also tried to sign Carson on a permanent basis but St Mirren agreed a transfer fee with United to seal the the deal.
