It's fair to say Jon Wilkin wasn't particularly impressed with Aidan Sezer after his performance in Leeds Rhinos' defeat to Wigan Warriors.
Wilkin has proven that he's not shy of being outspoken since transitioning to the world of punditry, and Sezer was in his firing line after watching the Rhinos suffer a 34-12 defeat to the Warriors.
The Australian had a quiet game as the Rhinos went down comprehensively, leaving them winless at the start of the season.
And Wilkin, who was asked to comment on the pairing of Sezer and Blake Austin by Sky Sports host Brian Carney, didn't hold back as he criticised his lack of energy throughout the night.
"We saw them be interviewed and at the time of watching that it didn't feel comfortable for me," he said. "I felt there was a lack of enthusiasm.
"You're playing against Wigan in round two of Super League, I just think you've got to have some more enthusiasm, whether you want to be interviewed or not. I just didn't sense any of that energy or intensity."
Wilkin would go on to defend Austin, who scored 11 minutes into his debut for the club, but not so much Sezer.
"I felt we got some of that energy from Blake Austin in the game, I thought we didn't see any of it from Aidan Sezer.
"I just thought it was an interesting insight, it's easy to say it after the game, but for all the chemistry we've been speaking about, having a relationship and playing together and all of that, they needed to be better and Aidan Sezer will be looking for more next week."
