Jon Snow grabs a coffee as he's seen for first time since welcoming baby at 73

Channel 4 news star Jon Snow has been seen for the first time since he become a dad again at the age of 73.

The news presenter was spied getting some fresh air and a much-needed coffee last week, just three days after the arrival of his baby on March 2.

His sighting comes as Jon and his wife of 11 years Precious were "delighted" to welcome a baby boy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On the move, the TV personality stretched his legs for a walk with friend Lord Hollick in the rainy conditions in London.

Jon was impossible to miss in a bright yellow puffer jacket which kept the chill at bay in the British capital.

No doubt the news anchor was delighting in relaying the happy details of his son's birth before going public with his baby joy.

He took some time off his new parenting job to relax with his friend.

In the company of Lord Hollick, Jon was totally at ease and his charming self.

They had both grabbed takeaway coffees for their walk around the leafy part of London.

Their conversation was flowing while the pair got some exercise on their outing.

Of course they had lots to catch up on amid the third national lockdown in the UK.

It comes just as Jon shared his baby joy with the world.

While their baby was born last week, news of the arrival was made public on Monday.

The couple had the baby by a surrogate after "numerous medical setbacks and miscarriages".

Jon and Precious were celebrating their "good fortune" at having a baby, in these "challenging times" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to PA news agency, Jon said: "In our desire to seal our now eleven years of marriage with a baby, my wife suffered numerous medical setbacks and miscarriages.

"Consequently, we will always be deeply grateful to our surrogate, who carried our embryo to term.

"Amid these challenging times, we feel doubly blessed to be able to celebrate our good fortune."
