Jon Rahm lets rip with X-rated blast to leave Masters commentators forced to apologise

Jon Rahm left commentators apologising after the fiery Spaniard let out an X-rated reaction to a disappointing shot during The Masters.

On day one Rahm lit up Augusta National, carding a superb seven-under-par 65 to leave him in a tie for the lead with Brooks Koepka on Viktor Hovland. On Friday, the world No. 3 was keen to build on his hot start after rival Koepka burst into a solo lead.

After parring his opening five holes in round two, European star Rahm was keen to get his day going as he made his way to the tee at the par three sixth.

Looking to get himself into the red, Rahm flew his tee shot towards the right-side of the green in the hope of rolling the ball towards the centrally-positioned pin. And roll it did, but not towards the hole has his initially impressive shot was taken away by the Augusta contours towards the front of the green.

As the ball began to canter away the patrons' groans were across the sixth green, but nobody was more frustrated than Rahm. As his ball hit the slope, the Spaniard could be heard calling for it to 'stay, stay!"

The ball though did not listen, and to say Rahm was less than impressed was an understatement. As it settled towards the front of the putting surface the TV cameras picked up the 2021 US Open champion shouting 'f**k!', with the pressure clearly mounting.

The Sky commentators were quick to apologise for Rahm's slip of the tongue, in a fiery few moments for the world No. 3. Rahm did go on to compose himself by parring the hole before carding a three-under 69 in his disrupted second round to leave two shots behind leader Koepka at the half-way point.
