Jon Daly will be confirmed as the next permanent manager of St Patrick’s Athletic later today.
Tim Clancy’s former assistant has been in interim charge of the Saints since the start of the month, leading the team to three wins in four games.
And the club’s hierarchy have decided to hand the job to the Dubliner on a full-time basis, with the players told at training this morning.

Daly’s most recent win was away to derby rivals Shelbourne on Friday, when Sam Curtis headed home early in the second half.
Daly - the former Rangers striker - had made no secret of his desire to succeed Clancy on a permanent basis.
Asked about it again after that win over Shels, he chose to praise the players who have stayed focused on the job at hand.
Daly said: “It's the players who do the work. I do my work with the staff in terms of how we want to go about things.
“But it's the players buying into what you're trying to do who give you the opportunity to go and get results like that.
“One of the first things we spoke about was a basic little thing about 100% effort and commitment. I have seen that from them every day.
“It's not just in matches, you have to train that way as well and carry it into games. If you don't train with 100% effort then it's very difficult to carry that into a Friday night.”
Daly led St Pat’s to victory away to Cork City in his first game since stepping up to replace Clancy on an interim basis.
And they followed that up with a home win over Drogheda United before losing narrowly away to Shamrock Rovers only to get back to winning ways at Shels.
Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon was one of the first managers sounded out for the job in the days after Clancy’s exit, but turned down the position.
