Jon Bon Jovi shares details of 'gorgeous bride' Millie Bobby Brown's wedding to his son Jake

Jon Bon Jovi shared details about his son Jake Bongiovi and Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown‘s wedding.

British actress Brown, 20, rose to fame as Eleven in the Netflix sci-fi series and also has the starring role in the Enola Holmes films.

The couple got engaged in April 2023, when Brown shared a photo on Instagram of model Bongiovi, 22, hugging her while she wears an engagement ring.

Referencing a lyric from Lover by Taylor Swift, Brown wrote alongside the post: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”

Rocker Bon Jovi, who has been married to wife Dorothea for 35 years, confirmed the couple have now tied the knot in an appearance on The One Show on Tuesday.

Asked how they are doing, he replied: “They are great, they are absolutely fantastic.

“It was a very small, family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true.”

Bongiovi proposed to Brown last spring by hiding a ring inside a shell on a scuba diving trip.

But the romantic gesture did not quite go to plan with the ring nearly plummeting into the ocean.

Brown previously said: “He puts the ring on my hand and as I go to show him, the ring falls off my finger, plummets so fast, it was like a cinematic movie.

“Jake threw himself so deep, the diver was like, ‘You can’t do that, like your ears. Literally your brain will explode’.”

Brown previously said she had never intended to be a wife but that her partner helped to change her mind about marriage.

She told Glamour UK last year: “My dream was to have a baby. I wanted to be the woman that my mum is to me and I wanted to be the woman that my grandmother was to me.

“So that was never my intention, to be a wife. But after meeting Jake and seeing, ‘Oh, I don’t have to be this stereotypical wife for him’, he doesn’t want me to be that either.

“He wants me to go and do my thing and live my life, and he will hold my hand in the process of that. I was like, ‘Oh, I do want this’.”
