Joleon Lescott highlights the team affected the most by Leeds United's win at Wolves

Burnley have been affected the most by Leeds United's comeback win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. That's according to former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott, who believes that the Clarets have been badly impacted following the Whites' sensational victory in the West Midlands on Friday night.

It was a memorable evening for Jesse Marsch's side, who came from two goals behind to secure a vital three points in their pursuit of staying in the Premier League. Jonny Otto and Francisco Trincao had given Wolves a healthy advantage going into half-time, leaving the Whites with a mountain to climb.

However, Leeds showed character to get back into the game and pulled one back through Jack Harrison, before Rodrigo levelled the scores in the 66nd minute. And there was still time for the Whites to grab a winner when Luke Ayling fired home in injury-time to spark wild scenes in the away end.

The result lifted Leeds seven points clear of the relegation zone and four ahead of 17th-place Everton, who returning to winning ways against Newcastle United on Thursday. Meanwhile, Watford and Burnley remain rooted inside the bottom three and Lescott believes that it is Sean Dyche's side who have been dealt the biggest blow.

He said, via Soccerholic: "I think that hurts Burnley more than any other team. I still think Everton will believe it is in their hands, and it is. They can control their own destiny. But Burnley would've been thinking if we can win one of our games in hand, we would've been two points behind, but they're now eight behind (Leeds), so it's not looking good."

The Whites will now have a two-week break before they host Southampton in their next encounter on Saturday, April 2. This time period will give Marsch a chance to give his players a rest as they try to recover for the final stretch of the campaign.

Although Everton, Burnley and Watford have all got matches in hand, Leeds will fancy themselves to pick up enough points to stay in the top-flight given their fixture run between now and the end of the season. The Whites face just three of the top-half in their final eight games.
