Bournemouth supporters were far from pleased with the penalty decision that saw Nottingham Forest take a 2-0 at the City Ground in first-half added-time.
Cherries captain Lloyd Kelly was adjudged by referee Michael Oliver to have handled a half-volleyed effort from Neco Williams inside the penalty area. The official didn't hesitate in pointing to the spot but was advised to check the decision on the pitchside monitor.
Much to the annoyance of the travelling fans, another look didn't change Oliver's mind. Here is a selection of the social media reaction in the aftermath of the Reds taking a 2-0 lead.

nidriks : Is Kelly's arm really unnatural there? He turns, and it hits an arm bent into the body. If that's a penalty, then you'll have numerous a game.
@UTCInAllDepts: Isn’t that typical? The first time a ref is called to the monitor and doesn’t change his mind, and it’s against us!
Tom Palmer: Feel for Kelly there. Nowhere his hands can go when you dive to stop the ball, though.
Andy: What’s he meant to do
Jane: Longest decision ever.
Nick Smith: Seriously, where are you supposed to put your arms?
Mr G: That penalty is a joke. Again VAR not doing its job. Offside for the first initial ball through. Then the ‘handball’. Honestly, what’s the point?
David Cockram: That’s so Bournemouth for a ref to go to the monitor to check a decision and then not change it! Long way back from here.
